How to best keep a home diary - use the BG template?

we have started construction and I am obligated to keep a construction diary (if only because of the BG). How did you solve this? Simply used the BG templates? Designed an Excel document? Are there any recommendations for free software?

What are you? Obliged to keep a construction diary? How are you building? With a general contractor, architect, or are you doing everything alone with helpers?

I am building with individual contract awards without an architect. Even though I am not obliged to, I would like to voluntarily keep one because of the [BG] and for my own records.

I don't understand the point either... you would have to be on the construction site every day and understand each trade technically. Neither was ever the case for us,

And let's be honest, later no one reads such a diary anyway. It ends up there on the shelf.

I want to keep a construction log of the hours worked by all helpers and myself, and I would like to have an online tool or freeware program for this.

Does anyone here have experience and recommendations?
