How to best finance €100,000 for house construction?

From which pot are the ancillary costs paid? I don't currently see where you want to build, since I use TT, but somewhere around 25-40000 have to come from.

I would always go for a controlled residential ventilation system; regardless of the KfW issue. It's just a great comfort feature. Even if you're especially alone and possibly want to travel the big wide world, it's nice not to have to regularly arrange for someone to ventilate.

Unfortunately, you can't tell that just by looking at you. There are plenty of people who come by here who think everything will already be included in the house price. Such a hint is the first real aha moment.

That's true. I could have pointed out right away that the house connection costs will be covered by me. There is no additional pot. In other words: I pay for the property, taxes, court costs, soil survey, incidentals, kitchen, garden, etc. myself. Then there are still €60,000 left....

Big-headed or not... the question remains: what kind of house do you want to build for 160k? In 2017+ you simply can’t get anything for that anymore. Or do you not want to build in Germany at all? Nice that you built in 2000... hopefully you haven’t missed that construction costs have easily doubled since then...

: I see less of a problem there. He hasn’t revealed how big the house is yet; but I don’t assume it’s more than 100sqm. Besides, in SH it’s generally much cheaper than, for example, here in NRW or in the south of Germany.
