Why do you think, apokolok, that Town & Country should not build on a €280,000 plot? Should a cheaper local provider build on it? What do they do better?
Unfortunately, there is partly the opinion here that an expensive plot requires a house that is comparatively expensive in relation.
Complete nonsense, really. If the budget, for example, only allows for €500k and the plot costs €230k, then only €270k remains for the rest. For many, this is an incomprehensible reason to advise against new construction. With this idea, a €500k house fits a €230k plot and an €80k car in the garage is the minimum. In that case, an Opel Astra would be a disaster; what would the neighbors think of you.
For down-to-earth people, a limited budget and an expensive plot simply mean staying more in the basic standard and building a cheaper house. Better than not building at all.
