Those were probably not cold roofs and therefore within the thermal building envelope. Why do you think the attic hatch is insulated and the cold roof must be ventilated? At least now you know what you’re dealing with. The problem will always occur without ventilation.

What is the definition of a "cold roof"? The floor hatch is not insulated. It is a normal pull-down ladder that starts from the upper "distribution corridor". The house has a second front door. Immediately behind it, the stairs lead up to the 1 sqm "distribution corridor". On one side is the door to the granny flat, on the other side the door to the "all-purpose/party/multifunction room".
