Yes, the OP should check that. The flow must go to zero when the RTR is turned off or to minimum at 22 or 23 degrees in the room (you can hear the quiet clicking when turning the dial if the switching threshold is undershot).

If that doesn't happen, there is something wrong electrically and the flow temperature doesn't matter for the time being. The heating cannot be properly adjusted anyway if not all heating circuits can be operated correctly. So definitely open the manifold first and test all RTRs one by one.

Hi everyone,

great, I think that's it.

All (13!!!!) electronic controllers were set to "open".

I switched them all to automatic and set 1-2 thermostats to maximum, heard the clicking and then (with a delay) saw the flow.

Here are photos of the 2 control units, now they are all without flow; red ring "on top":

I will then proceed exactly as Joe described. After adjusting the design temperature from 47°C to 35°C, I will wait for a shady and cold day (0°C) and observe how the temperature stabilizes with the controllers fully open. (waiting, control time 24h) then possibly increase the design temperature moderately.

Is that okay?
The next step will be hot water "adjustment"

Thanks to you all!

Best regards, Barossi

I think I have a similar problem. Some of the room controllers are set to 0, others to 15, others to 21, doesn’t matter, it’s 21 everywhere. Too warm for sleeping, unnecessary in the guest WC. But I won’t adjust, open, or fiddle with anything; the heating engineer is supposed to come and check it. That’s what he’s for. Karsten

Nice to hear a result.
What setpoint temperature do you have set and which large city is nearby?

By the way, it may now stay too cold possibly. Then possibly set the menu item offset to +1.
There are many good and detailed instructions on the internet.

Fine adjustments are up to the user. The HB has the goal "The main thing is warm."

And don’t get frustrated too quickly. It can easily take the whole winter to get it exactly right.

Then, however, you have the maximum comfort atmosphere at home at greatest efficiency.

Morning Joe, I have now set 35°C as the design temperature. (The default was 47°C) I live in the commuter belt of Hamburg. All thermostats are currently set to 1 (closed) and I am letting the temperature drop. Then I set all RTRs to 3 and observe the temperature in the rooms. I am leaving the heating curve as it is for now. Best regards Barossi
