Somehow the dimensions in the plan don’t match. According to your information, the contour lines should run approximately like this.

Your house is drawn at least 15 m long.

Contour lines every 50 cm. Slope approximately towards NNW.

In the Bayernatlas, you can determine the slope precisely. It should be around 13%. Then the dimensions of the property will also be correct.

If you tell me the address, I can determine it for you with 10 cm accuracy.

And the terrace more like three times eight to nine.

Thanks already for the huge response. I never thought so much feedback would come. And sorry for the sparse information and the waiting. Now I at least know that I need to respond faster.

Attached requested elevation points: I took them from Bayernatlas as recommended.

: Very good idea. I already find your approach very interesting. Since the slope is very steep, a basement might make sense, possibly connected to the garage. I would use it as a workshop. In your suggestion, I would miss the "access" to the basement. So you would always have to go around the house. I will take the suggestion with me as an idea.

: I can see you're quite familiar with the topic. The orientation is indeed variable. We have already inquired about this at the building authority. In the immediate vicinity, there are similar plots where the house is oriented north/south. Hence the idea.

Placing the terrace on the west side is definitely the optimal solution for the evening sun. My question would be whether anyone can also recommend this or has implemented it themselves. The concern here is simply the fear of always sitting in the shade during the day.

? Why? In the west you have full sun from the south!
