Hello dear forum members! My husband and I want to build a little house... our current plan includes a knee wall of 1.25 and a roof pitch of 40-45 degrees (gable roof) No dormers and no basement. Thank you very much in advance for your contributions!!!

So I can't open anything here and maybe you can answer the standard questions ([pinned post]). That makes many things easier. Especially a site plan would be great! Building envelope etc.

Hello,

here are already a few suggestions from me that caught my eye at first glance:
- the ground floor seems very labyrinthine to me
- in my opinion, the utility room and the technical room have too little space to be used sensibly
- I really don’t see space for a wardrobe that can accommodate a family of four
- whether you come in from the garage or the front door, you always have to carry your groceries quite a long way to the pantry (which also offers little practical usable space)
- very long hallway on the top floor
- I would consider a door between the dressing room and the bedroom; if one person wants to sleep longer, the other can get dressed quietly without disturbing them
- the toilet on the top floor could become a very dark and uncomfortable corner being separated like that

That was just what occurred to me spontaneously.
Best regards

Well, the most important thing is actually the site plan and orientation, why the design is the way it is now, and whether the house is meant for a traditional family or possibly other configurations.

Always remember: the more buttoned-up the information or question, the more trivial the answer ;)

At first and second glance, I find it quite good, except for the trip hazard of the first stair step and the windbreak :)

Sorry, I missed it above...here is the site plan.

Why do you think the wardrobe is too small? In the vestibule there are specifically two niches designed for 2 m sliding-door wardrobes each, that should be enough?!? I hope that this information also removes the cramped impression...
The very long hallway upstairs actually only came about because we wanted direct light...
There will be a sliding door between the dressing room and bedroom
The toilet could really become too dark...

What do you mean by tripping hazard and what don't you like about the vestibule?
