Apart from the fact that "we" are already at post #51, I can’t see anything "significantly further" now.
I have to get some cola first... :D

Well, at least we are a bit further along regarding the price assessment and also where to start tidying up.
Better for us than before :) ^^

We will now first deal with show home parks and the companies that are even an option for us.

It will probably be better for us to first stand inside a show home that we like visually to get a feel for the size and layout.

In the end, the consultants on site can also make offers if you want to change something about the house, and that way we will certainly have a better price estimate than just a rough guess.

It is better if you have a plot of land before you have more concrete ideas for a house, because the development plan or conditions on the plot can make certain things impossible / not sensible.

So 1. land first, meanwhile clarify what the rough wishes are and to what extent they are financially feasible. 2. have a good floor plan designed so that then you can look for house providers and plan

In SA, it does not seem to be lacking in plots as much as elsewhere. So first you google new development area + city / town / region of your choice.

If you don't find anything there, then drive through the villages and look for empty plots, ask neighbors, etc. (you would then have to leave the apartment for that) and at the same time check the websites of all small municipalities / places where you would want to build and ask if necessary if nothing is found there. I did that in Brandenburg and was on the waiting list in some places / got feedback on various plots.

It is rather difficult to find something on Immoscout etc., and in sought-after regions, there is often something wrong with the plot. (We were lucky and actually discovered the seller of the new development area on Immoscout, but otherwise, the offerings were not that great.)

Okay, we will do it that way, that’s a great idea.

I'll start googling right away. That is also another idea on how I should start here, which I only came to through persuading here ^^
