Where could these costs come from (so that I know what to watch out for)? Actually, there is a fixed price guarantee... I'll try to find out in the next few days. :)

For example, 120cm instead of 80cm excavation according to soil survey +50% earthworks

Shower glass partition +1000 euros, corner bathtub +1000 euros, washbasin +1000 euros, here and there an extra switch and an extra socket +2000 euros, outdoor facilities extras +10000 euros, sewer connection +5000 euros. Oh, there are so many things... that was just a fraction of what can come.

When planning, do not forget the costs for the possibly needed new furniture / lamps and kitchen, that will also add up. What is planned for the cars, garage/carport? Do not budget too low here either.

As I understand it, these little extras are supposed to be included in the fixed price?!
Example: Fireplace – this probably means the chimney flue, possibly also the inspection, but a wood stove including installation and inspection is probably not included in the price...

oh, yes :(

But only for the things that are recorded in the construction service description. Everything described as bauseits, bauseits, or BAUSEITS is at your expense. And everything that is not mentioned, you still have to take care of yourself... For example, connecting the rainwater downpipes to a rainwater cistern is not included. But that costs about 5000 € as well.

that would be bauseits ;)

Have your local bank calculate a loan for you! Then you will know more.

P.S. I have read that Pampers can be quite expensive!

We did, - with 2% repayment, a monthly rate of €650 plus the right for special repayments came out. Sounds doable to me. But that's just theory. I am calculating €300 monthly additional costs as well as about €300 set aside for repairs and so on?

By chimney I of course meant a chimney flue, I'm an idiot. I can still have a chimney installed in a few years. Besides, I know someone for that. :)

We are thinking of a prefabricated garage (space for the car plus a bit more - offer over €7000 is available). A carport is planned between the garage and the house.

We have not planned for a cistern, since cost / benefit / savings don't make sense, - at least that's what we were told. (Costs for cistern FROM €4000 - I think you really need a big garden to make that worthwhile)...
