The house won't work with your calculation in the first post in my opinion.
An architect is always recommended for a sloping plot, as most catalog houses were designed for flat countryside.
But definitely make one or two appointments with a general contractor to get a feel for the price structure.
What about the basement? If I picked this up correctly here in the forum, then a building project on this plot without a basement makes no/little sense, since the earthworks have to be done anyway. Is that correct?
Basement yes/no depends on the slope of the hill, at least as far as the economic consideration is concerned. @11ant has a rule of thumb for that.
We don’t have the plot yet. We would have to check if the plot is still for sale. And if yes, whether the price is still the same.
