They really sold that to you as something good?
Our house, renovated in 2008 with a construction year of 1930, is doing better.
My parents have had a heat pump for over 15 years now (by the way, without underfloor heating) and are still convinced of the technology.
This whole thing has long since grown out of its infancy.
Nobody sold that to us, we planned it ourselves.
Now you've made me uncertain and I checked again. The figure of 18,000 kWh refers to the first year, in which we ran the underfloor heating program in summer and of course ventilated a lot in the months out of fear of residual moisture in the walls shortly after moving in, sorry, my mistake.
Last year it was 12,200 kWh.
Important: We did not build according to any KFW guidelines. Only the mandatory energy saving ordinance (because we wanted it that way). We have comparatively high ceilings. In two areas of the house, the ceiling is open to the roof slope. We insulated between the rafters under a hip roof. Therefore, there is no cold attic and unfortunately, currently, no door to the attic (staircase is not foldable, fixed space-saving staircase). I've wanted to take care of that ever since moving in but two kids and a few other projects came in between :-D
What I want to say with this: The living climate is great, I am satisfied with the energy costs for the volume but am also interested in the energy costs of others, regardless of the type of heating. I now pay 160 euros/month for heating (heating + water).
