That's office-worker theory... that's what I thought too. Our solar installer just said that then something is planned based on hope that it fits, and during the later installation you find out that 2-3 cm are missing somewhere and you have to rework anyway. The practical solution is therefore actually to have the entire roof covered, and the solar installer removes individual roof tiles for the installation of the frame and quickly slots them in. That works completely without problems. Where our general contractor roofer and solar installer coordinated, however, was the fitting with storm clamps – where the frame went, these were omitted after the appropriate wind load calculation.
