But I also told you what that means statistically. No one will drop dead tomorrow (formaldehyde). And lindane only 1/4 of the danger value.
That was it for detected pollutants.

I thought of wood for the wall paneling, behind which asbestos also often hides.

My opinion: If the money is only enough to buy, I would not buy the house.

I had initially interpreted Nordanney’s explanations as indicating that the measured values were problematic. In that case, of course, I would prefer to buy the property at land value rather than have a pollutant-contaminated house on top of it. Meanwhile, he has refined his statements. Nevertheless, I remain torn. By the way, it is not a window rebate ventilation, but a proper ventilation. Preheated air is blown into the living rooms and extracted in the bathroom, then passes through a heat exchanger and an exhaust air heat pump that cools the room air and thereby heats domestic water.

As long as renting out the house is not illegal, it naturally has value from a realtor's (because from a seller's) perspective. Therefore, you will never get the land at the standard land value minus demolition costs. Even a rusty Porsche convertible with a moldy top remains a Porsche convertible and will not be given away. And toxic substances seldom are already present in the shell construction, so they can practically always be eliminated by stripping out. Thank you for the explanation. I remember the Hosby houses as having, in addition to the windows, another casement each, which is hidden behind the boarding. But I mostly know the houses only from print advertising; I have not yet seen one in a room tour.

I cannot help you with the limit values. However, I do find it rather puzzling that you spend over 1000,- for an analysis but cannot use the result immediately. What sense does the analysis then make? I also do not go to the radiologist and then start interpreting the images myself afterwards. In my opinion, the creator of the analysis should have clearly pointed out beforehand that he only determines the values without any further interpretation. Did he do that?

Were the rooms empty or furnished? I have in mind that our home construction company said people value healthy living, and then they buy a carpet and the values explode first. They had measured formaldehyde for themselves with us - before we furnished.

Yes. With furniture roughly from the year of construction. Yes. He said it was a pure measurement. The interpretation would have to be done by a building biologist. They could recommend one, but don't have their own. Since I only did the measurement to save my marriage, I simply took the cheapest and fastest provider. I did not expect high measurement results, especially because of many years of reading the house construction forum.
