First occupancy from a developer. In a project where another user is currently panicking a lot:

The reaction is indeed justified. That should teach you that while you can get information in forums, not everything is true. Here, it only takes one person credibly posting the same untruth every other day, and the next and the next then adopt it – supposedly with their own knowledge and not just referencing it. It makes a difference whether someone writes that they heard or comes with "I know" statements.

I can gladly give them to you. My neighboring house is supposed to be sold. Prefabricated house from the mid/end 60s (Okal house). Indoor air measurement both as a single measurement and as a long-term measurement. Only formaldehyde limit value exceeded by 10% (110 µg/m³). Lindane, PCB, etc. all inconspicuous (or significantly below limit values). However, asbestos is still urgently suspected.

My core problem is that I informed myself extensively from this and other forums. My wife, on the other hand, merely picked up her concerns about prefab houses from some friends in coffee klatch-style chats. My deliberately acquired expertise should actually carry more weight. That she turned out to be right is a heavy burden on my position in the marriage regarding all questions related to the house. By the way, the author of my username is also her – and it came about during our discussion on the topic. I originally made fun of it and therefore chose it here for the forum. Now I would rather have a different one :-(
