Uh, don't say that. At the beginning, because of the low price, we included the block and also used it (patio door handle by draft in the display case), now after 6 years the premium has grown quite a bit, so I considered leaving it out. But we have a new patio roof

I wouldn't submit a ceramic hob to the insurance now. It's almost not worth it because of the value. The likelihood with something like this is high that this was your first and last claim with the insurance. Better set the deductible to €500 or so. That way, you're not tempted to claim minor damages. If anything, do it through the household contents insurance. From my point of view, the building insurance is too "valuable".

Is the elemental component something to consider for household insurance? I have to address the glass breakage again. You can choose it for household or building insurance. Do you only take it once? Because adding it to both is surely nonsense, right? I don't see the advantage except being insured twice.

I have the glass block in the household insurance. Twice is pointless. But check the conditions to see if the same thing is insured there. For example, dismantling costs of something. Elemental is a tricky issue... where it is still affordable, the occurrence of damage is rather unrealistic. I took it anyway climate change and all...

I found the tariff Excellent at Ammerländer, which includes coverage for heavy rain. I find that interesting because you don't have to book the entire elemental package right away. An all-risk coverage is also included.

Maybe someone else has the Ammerländer tariff and can share their experience.
