I am also only reluctantly the spoilsport here. But I fear that the bank will throw a wrench in your plans. You have many IFs in your life planning (due to the current changes). The loan would be taken out "only" by you – the bank always prefers to have two people to hold responsible if things go wrong. Self-employment is viewed more critically by the bank due to the uncertain income situation than a permanent job. These are the first points that come to my mind directly. Without stating your residential area (district), it is not even remotely possible for us to assess to what extent something reasonable can be obtained for this amount. You live in Baden-Württemberg. Near Stuttgart, you will probably get a house the size of a garden shed for this amount at most. Elsewhere, you might be better off. You should always factor in backlogs of renovation for a used property. And the "cheaper" a house is, the more there is to do. So take an expert with you for the (second) viewing (the first viewing determines whether you can even imagine it).

Hello,

when I wanted to do some remodeling on my house back in autumn 2012, I also tried to get some funding. However, I only thought of it later when I had to read up on the topic. A help at that time was the page by Mr. Lauberg, where I also learned about the funding from KFW.

What I would recommend now is to see if you can secure funding here or there. And, because it helped me as well and the page also has calculation examples and all kinds of other things, the page by Mr. Lauberg.

Nice try, Ursel ...

KfW is all well and good, but you also have to pay back the loans. And after 10 years, the fixed interest period is also over.

If things are already problematic one way or another, a subsidized financing (mind you, only for the first 10 years) doesn’t help much either.

Hmm, but the idea of the funding is not so bad. Definitely worth taking a closer look at it.
