I don't believe you will be able to stick to the set cost framework. Even a "cheap" civil engineer cannot override the regional cost structures.

Please report later what ends up being at the bottom right at the end of the day. Should I be mistaken – of course, I would be happy for you, all the better!

Rhenish greetings

I expected that response from you, construction expert!
But I am optimistic that it will work out. We also have contact with other builders who have worked with him, and he has already built in a buffer everywhere. On top of that, we have our own buffer. For the other builders, it usually worked out fine.

Furthermore, our construction engineer has many contacts with other craftsmen/companies. I suspect that they are all former schoolmates, fellow villagers, etc.

But of course: Let's see what the final amount will be.

I also know some who built so cheaply, and even here in the south. But all with a lot of own effort and time invested. Every euro was turned twice! That way it wouldn't be fun for me, too much stress.

Personal contribution is so far only planned for painting and laying the floor. And no - we don't scrutinize every cent twice, otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford wood-aluminum windows.

The 315,000€ is ONLY for the house!! I think that's a decent amount of money and should be enough.

Hello Frepa,

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything works out. Probably, everyone will simply be paid according to performance, so that in the end your calculated budget will work out... as long as you stay strict with yourselves during the selection.

The experiences of your references have confirmed this.
