Hello everyone,

our house is almost ready to move in, so now the garden planning is underway. For quite some time, I have been looking for a way to hide the trash bins because I don’t find them very attractive standing out in the driveway. We have a 240l organic waste bin, a 240l paper bin, a 120l residual waste bin, and the yellow sack. I have searched a lot on the internet for trash bin boxes, but so far nothing has really impressed me. Especially because most solutions cost well over €1000. Maybe I’m wrong, but at the moment I still think there must be something cheaper?
The best solution would be one that we could integrate into the garden fence or wall. Unfortunately, the driveway is not level but rises slightly. It’s really not much, but it might already make cabinet solutions impossible. At least one article mentioned that it has to stand on even ground.
I’m still waiting to see if the garden landscaper has an idea. Otherwise, I have thought about putting up a bike shed in the front garden that would also have space for the trash bins. But because of the size, that probably means a project requiring a building permit...
The biggest dream is also a parcel box integrated into the trash cabinet

Long story short: How have you solved this?

For us, it was also the price; I simply used the double rod mesh fence that we have at home.

Cool, that is also a good idea! But the structure is open at the front, right? I would like something with doors or so, so that you don't look directly at the garbage cans when entering the property. Not so easy...

I think this is great. My wife just shakes her head.

So for us it is open, but I have already seen it with doors. Instead of the post, you just have to use door posts at the front.

Material probably for the double gate as I quickly saw on eBay about 150 euros, then 2x corner posts about 50 euros each, the mat 30 euros, etc.

Show me or tell me the page / post number in the house picture thread.

I’m shaking mine, too. This is almost a perfectly usage-pessimized product. In the picture, even I as a man immediately find all the mistakes (but I also don’t leave the trip to the trash bin to my beloved, the husband at the picture probably takes over the role duty).
