Hiding garbage bins - What options are available?

I definitely wouldn’t feel like waiting for the thing to be fully extended, because as a result I would take the trash out less often *ugh

Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything nice for the bins yet, we have 2 large and 2 small ones... and 4-bin boxes are really exorbitantly expensive.

The ones with an integrated parcel box are really great (even though we wouldn’t have space for one) but also "unaffordable"

I'm really surprised that there aren't more options in the cheaper segment. After all, every house has garbage bins. I found a nice bicycle shed on a DIY website, slightly bigger so that garbage bins can fit inside, and we could easily attach it to the garage. Does anyone know how to get a building permit for DIY projects? Since it is visible from the street, illegal construction is not an option in this case...

Maybe less trash would be produced that way if you have to take it out less often? :)
If the remote control has a suitable range, I would still operate it inside the house. By the time you get outside to the bins, they should hopefully be raised :)

Me too. But that rules out most trash can enclosures, because there is always a small door or an additional lid that has to be opened first. That would annoy me.
Besides, last year we got the 4th bin, so most enclosures are out anyway.

A funny alternative to make the trash can look a bit more attractive without enclosing it would be to decorate the trash can with stickers.
