In another forum, the topic was also discussed. Emergency power generators also need to be maintained, started repeatedly, so that they work when needed. Gasoline/diesel must be stockpiled. And really good emergency power generators cost a lot of money. Another option would be to operate a voltage converter in the car. The conclusion was that it is a lot of effort for the few times the power goes out. Another approach was that you can use the photovoltaic battery storage. However, island operation must also be possible for this. Normally, the inverter switches off when it can no longer detect grid voltage. And above all, you first have to have photovoltaic + battery.

I can confirm. Our air heat pump has given up the ghost. We noticed it because of the cold water (about 24 hours). The house never really cooled down.

For me, that's a crazy idea. I would like to see the cost-benefit analysis.

Okay good, we have now discussed [NotStromaggregat], etc., but we still haven't made any progress because I am still looking for a recommendation for such an oven (if there is anything useful at all).

- What kind of topic deviation is that? That could be my problem, right? Did I ask for a review? - No - I asked for a recommendation for such a system.

The problem is that there is no such recommendation. Even if there is a stove for your purposes, you will still need a backup generator to really heat your house. Or do your circulation pumps also run on wood? But without them it won’t work!

And if you have to generate electricity anyway, you might as well run the entire heating system on it. And you only have to deal with one backup system, instead of two as in your solution.

Best regards,

Andreas
