Which employees are you talking about? Many are "only" semi-skilled. Who even wants to learn carpentry or joinery anymore? How many from the trades are in your circle of friends? And having an apprenticeship alone does not give you routine or experience. Add 5-10 years on top of that. Unfortunately, some then have back problems and others are willing to undertake further training to get away from construction. And who stands at the saw in the hall? The trained talented joiner who has always wanted to do assembly line work? Maybe you’re right about the 21st century, but that was already 19 years ago. And no: I have nothing against prefabricated construction or construction workers at all, but I happened to have insight into a newly developed residential area.
