I would like to continue the renovation of our apartment and now replace all the windows and doors.
In total, there are eight windows and one patio door. Some of the windows are accessible, the balcony door anyway, so I would like to have burglary protection there.
With the Reform windows, the anti-lift protection is standard.
However, I have no experience with the brand, nor does anyone in my circle now.
Is there maybe someone here who has experience with Reform windows?

Which windows do you have?
Which windows do you think are the best?

The ones that fit your apartment and your budget.

That means the mega-expensive aluminum/wood passive house windows with bulletproof glass can be right or also Polish frames with reasonable double glazing without great burglary protection. Much also depends on the proper installation.

Here, many homeowners have windows from Internorm or from Weru. As already mentioned above, it strongly depends on proper professional installation.

The improvement in burglary protection hardly takes place at the profile level, but mainly at the level of locks and fittings. That means replacing the basic window with a model from a newer year does not help in itself, and the essential things must be addressed through retrofitting. Unfortunately, more and more window "manufacturers" are increasingly just window "retailers" who prefer selling rather than focusing on customer service.

The installers are often subcontractors (caretaker and courier services with cordless screwdrivers and a penchant for foam-filling orgies). Then you get a window with anti-pry protection, which in theory would keep the burglar unsuccessful even after 60 minutes - if he did not simply kick the whole thing out of the reveal.

Think for your answers. But if I go directly to the manufacturer, they also install the windows, right? At least, that's how I understood it. It's also the case that the dimensions of the windows are taken by the company's technicians. Then the windows are made and installed. They even take the old windows with them so that I don't have to dispose of them. I didn't read anything about a subcontractor, and they are people who know what they're doing. Of course, there are differences as well. How did you make sure that the installation is done properly? That means, you actually need proper advice first, where you clarify what kind of ideas you have and what of those is sensible. I then go with my ideas, and hopefully, they tell me it fits, but for this point you should take something else. Is that how it works?

My first experience entering the industry was that window manufacturers involved in production do not necessarily have to be the best window installers. You can do quite well with pure installation specialists, but of course, there are different qualities everywhere. Especially good installers are often not employed by a manufacturer, but the involvement of subcontractors is regularly not discussed.

In the textbook, it would be like that. What is sensible, no one can honestly tell you who only has one material in their range. That was a significant reason for me to give up being a manufacturer, as own production lines for multiple materials are costly.
