The tip with the small instantaneous water heater is perhaps an option, although I suspect that such a device might also require more maintenance; in any case, we will have to consider this when planning the sockets in the guest bathroom.

There is no maintenance. Either it works or it doesn’t. It’s like the larger version – just much cheaper.

Well, I do find it quite practical when a toilet is where I want to shower. Because often you have to quickly use the toilet again.

I would place the 305 x 160 cm from the top of the plan with

90 cm shower width, then a 90 cm wide and 10 cm deep shower partition. Then there remain 70 cm passage to the right into the shower, which can be closed with a shower curtain or a shower door opening inward to the right if it splashes too much.

Then 120 cm washbasin with cabinet underneath, e.g. Godmorgon

And 85 cm remain for a toilet.

The bathroom door should then ideally open outward and downward on the plan.

Hello, here is our new dimensioned plan. Length 3.04 Width 1.67m, a 160 should fit here, right? Otherwise, we could still create a lot of storage space under (2). The Geberit icon series is much too expensive for us though, even if nice. Possibly Ikea and hardware store.

The bathtub (1) should be 1.60 steel and as large as possible, there is quite a selection on the relevant webshops.


Regarding the guest WC, we are considering whether to have a concealed cistern or directly a pre-wall system from Geberit/competitors... I have to call our prospective installer.

For the guest WC, I would consider a small storage heater, which also fits under a small washbasin and operates with 230 volts, for example the AEG 236 284. 5 liters of hot water is more than enough for 2x hand washing and after a few minutes it is already refilled. At 70 euros for replacement, that's a no-brainer.

And regarding the shower and bathtub, there are also nice combination solutions, something like this should work

You should definitely try a 160 bathtub sometime. I don't think it's really big, is it?
