Hello,

we recently completed our single-family house project. A city villa without a basement was planned. Our living space covers 150 m².

Since we are still relatively young builders and totally inexperienced in the construction sector, we were really unsure whether we should take on the topic of house building. After completion, which was a few months ago now, we are happier than ever and glad that we decided to take this step.

From planning to building to moving in, we were in very good hands and are happy that everything went so well. Although the construction company sometimes had to be very patient, as we couldn’t really decide during the sample selection :)

What we definitely wanted was, although we have a heat pump, still an additional chimney flue for connecting a wood stove. Specifically, we now want to install a pellet stove in the living room afterwards for coziness. The screed is already prepared at this point, and the pellet stove has already been selected. We wonder if besides the KfW funding, through which we arranged our financing, there is any additional state funding if you install a pellet stove?

Greetings to all homebuilders who still have the big step ahead.

Stefan

Hello,
No! There are good reasons for this. The energetic efficiency for this is simply too poor. Not to be confused with the combustion efficiency provided by the manufacturer!!! Furthermore, this pellet stove economically devalues the investment in the heat pump! The same applies to wood-burning stoves, especially if the fuel is not free of charge.
Whether one has a cozy fire experience with a pellet stove must be judged individually.
I would always prefer firewood as the energy source here.
Accounting recognition is usually only considered for water guidance (10%).

Best regards.

Hello, thank you very much for your response, which has nonetheless brought us a good deal further. We will reconsider the issue of the choice of fireplace in relation to the fuel.

That is certainly not a disadvantage! I myself use a masonry stove with which I can cover 70% of the entire building heating load at zero cost, which is why future energy price increases for primary energy production for heating operation burden me relatively little ;-)

best regards
