Good day, I was able to get a somewhat affordable single-family house at the beginning of this year. Currently, an oil heating system from 2004 is installed (Buderus G115). The company Thüga Energienetze will tear up the street in a few months and expand the gas network connection. Currently, 19 households have participated, and I am considering whether I should also take part. Cost approximately €1,250 In view of the current developments, I had hoped to gather some experience here about what is probably the best way for the future including funding opportunities. I would be very happy to receive feedback, Thank you very much

Do that, it is good in terms of price. And gas has more future than oil.

I agree with that. Besides, you save the space for the oil tank. Switching to a heat pump will definitely be more expensive.

Whereby gas is also subject to the CO2 tax. Currently, we are still heating with oil. Last year we were able to have a gas connection installed for free. Whether it will still be used is not yet decided. Do you have underfloor heating? The switch from oil to heat pump or pellets is subsidized. The switch to gas, to my knowledge, is not.

According to internet research, the switch from oil is subsidized with 10%. If you choose a hybrid heating system, you get another 25%. Definitely do it!

I would do it too... Or rather, I did it. Gas is somehow more comfortable, no tanks, no cleaning of them, no insurance required. So it's somehow more pleasant. No idea why.
