Hello everyone,

we are currently in the construction phase. So far, the plan was basically to install a gas condensing boiler with solar, but now our builder told us that a brine heat pump with deep drilling might also be interesting; he has an offer that is only 4,000€ more expensive, including drilling.
Now my questions:

- how much does the permit cost approximately?
- can the price really be right, or did I misunderstand something about the drilling?
- I have repeatedly heard that there is a certain risk with drilling regarding liability for possible damages, etc.

Otherwise, regarding running costs, I basically see the advantage with the brine heat pump.

I hope you can help me with my questions. Thanks.

So, just switching from a gas condensing boiler to a heat pump haphazardly is not possible. You really have to look very closely. You need information about heating load, hot water consumption, etc. etc. Then, of course, it depends on the heat pump, what model it is; ultimately, a heat pump requires a concept, otherwise, to put it mildly, you’ll fall flat on your face. An additional 4T€ may be reasonable but could also be excessive. Even if you now include the BAFA subsidy, it is tied to certain conditions.

The costs of the approval were negligible for us ([NRW 200€] I still have that in the back of my mind, up to 100m). If he offers it at that price, why not. The gas connection, the chimney, solar are omitted. There is always a risk everywhere, which ones have you heard of?

You have to take out insurance anyway if you want the [Förderung].

Cool, then I'll take out a bicycle theft insurance. That's also an insurance.

Could it perhaps be a bit more precise which risks need to be insured?
