, generally I agree with you. But in the shown example, you can’t seriously assume that the prices in the catalog are gross, can you?

What else am I supposed to assume? His purchase prices?

If I hadn't been forewarned by this thread, I wouldn't assume net prices at 405 and 545 either. Rather, I would think of generally poor price points. But with a craftsman, I also don't expect price optimizations like in e-commerce. Actually, the craftsmen I have spoken to so far have been quite transparent. So they did provide net unit prices but then always mentioned that on their own, and the total price of an offer was always gross. In verbal statements, it was always at least once during the conversation said, net!

You did ask him, and what did he say about it? And how was that in the basic offer? With the trees, I would first say that it can quickly happen that he then states the net price there because that is probably how it is listed at the [Baumschule]. I would also keep things in perspective there.

The fact that these are net prices. 99% of the GALA providers do not sell directly to private individuals at all. Even the catalogs from Ruf, BGU, etc., only contain net prices in this area, although these are partly catalogs for private customers as well.
