Gap in fire protection door T30. Is it mounted correctly?

My buddy (trained carpenter) also said that he has no adjustment options.

I have no idea what kind of doors you have there, but my 110 euro door from Hörmann from the hardware store has a continuous seal and the door rests against it, theoretically sealing the room airtight.

It was not about the seal, which is also all around my door. It was about the gap between the metal frame and the door. And on my door there is NO overhang at the TOP so that you can see the door frame and the gap.

I just googled T30 door now and there are plenty of doors where you can see the gap between the door and the frame at the top.

So it is OK as it was installed.

On our T30 door, the metal protrudes at the top just like on the side. An optically IMHO much better executed design.

This door was installed incorrectly. Fire protection doors must seal tightly all around with the frame.

Shims are used for height adjustment, my Teckentrup was fitted at the factory, so there is no visible height difference.
Hörmann does not do it any differently, as the examples shown on the website have the same hinges.

With the hörmann t30, this is normal. It is due to the design. The rebate at the top does not extend over the frame.
