Sure, definitely over the top for the matter. Maybe a friendly phone call would suffice. I already wrote at the beginning, there has to be something in writing, a notice. From then on, the deadlines should start running, but that is clearly stated in the notice.

My point was only that a standard email has to trigger something. For example, our Sparkasse said that nothing will be arranged based on an email; then call personally.
