There are other options as well. I have a 7-point locking system (there are simply 7 hooks and bolts) and a motor lock. That means when I let the door close, the motor locks it automatically. A simple handle press opens the door from the inside. That was important to me, with other providers you still had to press some switches. For opening from outside, I have the options of a key (I don't like that), fingerprint scanner, or remote control, like in a car. The lock, fingerprint scanner, etc. are from Fuhr. The door is made of wood, it hasn’t warped yet, but it is also overlapping on both sides with a 70 mm thickness of the door leaf and triple glazing. You have to be careful not to get a thin insert or overlay panel here. They insulate poorly and warp.

I have now also decided on the motor lock variant. Since I am planning home automation anyway, I found this to be a good alternative. Thank you very much for the helpful comments.

Can you say something about the product - or post a link. I am still thinking about how to integrate the door into the home automation.

Unfortunately, I am not there yet, I will retrofit it later and as the market is currently growing in this direction, there will surely be 100 new products by then. It ultimately also depends on which system you rely on, KNX, Loxone, radio .....

Well, the doors / locks I looked at never speak a specific protocol, but are rather "dumb". You then control them with an additional element of the solution - that's why I thought you had already made a selection.

Best regards
Markus
