There is actually enough space, but I find the built-in solution somehow cleaner :)

I can understand, it has that hotel feeling and makes an impression. But it’s much more appearance than reality, and a delusion especially serves those who like to bluff. Better a decent radio or BT speaker on the shelf – can also be used elsewhere. I mean, well, your intended Magnat are qualitatively better, but you can’t just connect them to an in-wall radio. You need an amplifier for that. And then you’re already at a price level that I wouldn’t invest in a bathroom for the maximum 15-minute shower. At the very most for someone who likes long, frequent baths. But then I’d rather go for a classic stereo setup, and that again takes up space.

One of the few things we allowed ourselves when building the house 9 years ago. Without Bluetooth, that wasn’t really "a thing" back then. We have a good installation spot, namely the platform behind the toilet, which is larger in our case due to the sloping roof, so we have a very large resonating body for the sound… but honestly, nowadays I would put a Sonos speaker or another one there. They look stylish and are flexible… Even in our caravan, we have a small Bluetooth radio thing that can be controlled via phone.

So my bathroom is not a showroom where I have to show off, so it has nothing to do with that. It just has to be as simple as possible and that works best with the built-in version. Unless there are mobile speakers that turn on just through a Bluetooth connection. That’s the advantage of the Gira socket. Go into the bathroom, turn on Bluetooth, done. Without pressing any buttons. We have a few Bluetooth speakers that are great for living/terrace areas but I wouldn’t really see them in the bathroom except for the sound quality.

I don't have an overview right now, but I'm almost sure that there are speakers that enable standby wake-up via BT.

so turn it on ... mmmh my Alexa Show10 responds to "call", shows me the time & the weather and plays my favorite music at the same time. Controllable even from the running shower. You don't have to like Alexa, but I find it practical, but I have "locked" it into a separate WLAN. I find the little gadget stylish, the sound is acceptable and the price is also okay if you always buy Amazon technology only on Prime Day ;)
