Hello everyone,

I have set a desired temperature of 21.5° C on my heating system below (air-to-water heat pump). The room controllers are all fully open (set to 33°C).

So far so good. In almost all rooms, the 21.5 °C is reached. Only in the bedroom (upper floor) does it reach a maximum of 20.7 °C. Now I wanted to slightly increase the flow rate at the distribution box. According to my internet research, you only need to turn the red cap on the flow indicator to increase/decrease the flow. This should then allow more warm water to reach the room and increase the temperature.

However, under the flow indicator, I have a sticker from the heating installer. On this sticker it says "Warning! Flow indicator is only for shutting off the heating circuits." (see the photo)

Does this mean that no fine-tuning can be done there at all? Where else can the flow rate l/min be adjusted?

That's great!
Why do you want it warmer than 20 degrees in the bedroom?

at the return under the actuators?

Just don’t turn the glasses, on your distributor the flow is adjusted where the actuators are attached!

The little glasses didn’t seem to be completely tight anyway, if you look at the oxidation.

Good question. My basic idea was that I can at least theoretically set the desired temperature everywhere. I probably wouldn’t really want 21.5°C in the bedroom, but more like 20 °C. Especially because we often sleep with the window tilted open.

Then I would generalize the question a bit and not only relate it to the bedroom topic. Where do you generally adjust the flow rate? I took a better photo of one of the distribution boxes again (this time from the ground floor, but this sticker is also there).
Can you explain where you would need to "turn" something based on that?

What happens if you turn them? There was a special key hanging in the distributor box for this purpose that fits exactly on the heads. You can see it in the new picture on the right in the middle.

they break... we also have a Roth distributor.

The key is for the valve below the actuators (the dark grey things where the red cap shows at the flow.)
