Bathtub in the bedroom - what do you think about that?

And I always thought we were the only crazy ones

However, we installed a shower in the bedroom. I don't see any difficulties at all, and just because you parents have a bathtub in the bedroom doesn't mean the kids can claim it at will. They should shower or go to the swimming pool.

By analogy, you could argue against pretty much everything the parents treat themselves to (What if the 17-year-old wants to seduce their one-night stand in the waterbed? What if the teenage daughter wants to drive the second car? What if the kids want to watch their Disney movies on the 75"?)
Sometimes the arguments presented here are really far-fetched, sorry.

As for the appearance, I would probably invest at least in a freestanding model. You should have the necessary space for that. Moisture is no more a problem than in the bathroom, and even a wooden floor could handle moisture as long as you don't let it sit. Whether you need the other sanitary facilities around bathing probably depends primarily on your own habits. I think usually not.

A nice idea, but for me anything but practical:

[*]Temperatures: I like it warm in the bathroom, 22..23..24 degrees. But at such temperatures I do not want to sleep
[*]Humidity: If you have had a nice hot bath, just about everyone has experienced what accumulates in the air after an hour
[*]Everyday life and privacy in all possible life situations (children, illness, etc.)

Certainly a nice thing for hotels and catalogs, but in my eyes not for practical use.

If you have space problems in the bathroom, have you ever considered moving the interior wall? If it is a load-bearing wall, it can certainly be supported with a lintel or steel beam.
This can also create a small cozy shower or bath niche.

With whirl function, the amount of moisture in the room is significantly higher. Especially since whirlpools that are reasonably quiet cost several thousand. Do not devalue your holiday experience.

We have also planned a freestanding bathtub in the bedroom, as there was no space for it in the bathroom and I really enjoy bathing... However, we have also provided a separate bathtub for the kids.

So, swimming at night after the club is out for me... There will be 2 more bathrooms with showers, so plenty of opportunities to wash. The bathtub will go, if not in the bedroom, then in the master bathroom. So children also can't just go in there anytime. Since we are also thinking about the resale value, I will probably first try to accommodate the bathtub in the bathroom, since the majority is against the bedroom (even though I find some of the arguments a bit exaggerated here ).
