Hey,

I would be interested in your experiences on the topic of "floor coverings." Maybe also a picture?

What floor coverings/colors do you have in the different living areas?
How many different floor coverings do you have?

Does anyone have experience, for example, with stone carpets and can say something about it?

Have a nice Sunday.

My last project was a single-family house completely with underfloor heating. Small family, mom with two little girls. In the bathroom, guest WC and utility room tiles (not cold underfoot thanks to underfloor heating). Hallway and kitchen click vinyl (very easy to install yourself and perfect for wiping, not cold underfoot); in the living room click cork (very warm underfoot, but also louder than vinyl) and please note, the heating pipes of the underfloor heating have to be installed closer here. Both children's rooms and the bedroom with Parador Modular One (similar to click laminate). All in wood look and color-coordinated with the overall concept. And it proves itself in everyday life, even when small stones are carried in with the shoes. Anecdote on the side: The boyfriend wanted to tile the windbreak, the client strongly refused and ultimately made the better choice. But you should orient yourself at least from the mid-price range. Photos will follow if the client agrees.

What should be considered with vinyl floors if you want to install as little chemistry as possible? It should at least be the Blue Angel?

"Klick-Kork", there is also a visual wood coating on top similar to vinyl floors. Is the carrier plate then made of cork or where is the actual cork hidden?

Actually, I wanted to lay as much as possible with tiles due to the underfloor heating, but the haptics (hardness) of the floor is not as cozy for living spaces as, for example, vinyl flooring. And the durability of good tiles is also another argument for me. Although there are supposedly also good durable floors with vinyl?

Vinyl is absolutely equivalent to tiles and wears more nicely and quietly. Just go to specialty stores and touch them. Both coverings can be easily wiped and are scratch-resistant.

We have completely decided on tiles in the new house. In the living areas, we chose ones with a wood look, so it looks like parquet. On the one hand, tiles are the best choice for underfloor heating. On the other hand, we are bothered by the sensitivity of parquet. We have cats, and if they race through the room, there are scratches on the floor. Also, I want it to be low-maintenance. With tiles, I can simply mop with the steam cleaner. I also don’t want to have to worry if I walk through the house wet or with dirty shoes that the floor will be damaged. Laminate and vinyl are out of the question because I don’t like them.

Yes, there are really stylish tiles in wood look nowadays. Do you have normally wide grout lines or extra narrow ones?
