Floor-to-ceiling windows opening outward, for more usable space inside

A son-in-law is installing the windows. By the way, he also said it could be done, but it would be unusual. He mentioned the blinds too, even though the motors have autostop. He didn't see security as the problem now. I'm going to leave it for now; if I ever sell, I don't have to explain it to anyone. But my wife thought the "being able to water the plants from outside" was a good idea.

Some architects occasionally install windows from a Danish window company here and there, featuring outward-opening sashes. The windows have (in my opinion) a nice, straightforward modern appearance with relatively narrow frames. More information can be found under the search term velfac.

Somewhat noticeable are several reports on the internet about condensation problems with these windows; whether these are just a few isolated cases is difficult to determine.

Apparently too few. I already mentioned Velfac here – with the note that they have announced the withdrawal (closure of the German sales location). However, I assume that this will not be a major obstacle for German customers – as long as they don’t call in the deepest Bavarian dialect in Denmark – but unfortunately I see the measure as an indication that the German market does not readily accept this type of opening.
