Floor-to-ceiling windows: How to properly connect them to the floor?

Hello.

We have a planned floor construction of 17cm and some floor-to-ceiling windows (patio doors). After the masonry was done, it was noticed that the bricks were also planned to be 17cm, which is unfortunate since the tiles were supposed to run into here and a step is undesirable.

The construction manager's suggestion was to remove 2cm here so that the flooring can be extended up to the window.

Yesterday I was at the window maker's, and he now suggests removing the brick completely here (or at most leaving h=10cm standing) and extending the screed up to the window as well. This would also make sealing easier for the roofer on the outside.

Maybe one of the experts here could share their opinion with us?

Thank you in advance.

With us, the windows were installed directly on the raw concrete floor. On top of that lies insulation, then the pipes of the underfloor heating, and the whole thing is then "filled up" with screed, just like in your proposal 2. The tiles can now be laid directly up to the window frame. From the outside, a small row of stones was placed in front of the window frame, and the windowsill was mounted on top of that.

Best regards

Variant 2. On our side, the terrace surface is then finished on the outside (or there is a channel there).

What does your planner/architect say about this question?

Variant 2 is constructively and thermally clearly cleaner. How do the top edge of the finished floor and the terrain relate to each other?

With proposal 1, there would also have to be an edge strip between the screed and Ytong. And then this movement joint would also have to be adopted in the covering. There is no facing facade (Klinker), is there?
