Hello, the windows were assigned by the architect/developer. We bought the apartment turnkey from the developer, meaning we basically only have to accept it once at handover. The screed seems to be fine, the room height also corresponds accordingly. I’m not sure whether this is a “normal” construction method (and if so, whether it can be called floor-to-ceiling) or if it was only done because something was not properly installed. At least it’s the same in all the apartments.

How much more screed, etc., will be added on top? To me, it looks like a row of bricks remains at the bottom. Strictly speaking, I wouldn’t classify that as floor-to-ceiling now. On the other hand, we explicitly planned our windows on the upper floor with a row of bricks at the bottom so that no awkward corners form on the floor there.

Yes, something like a row of stones.
What do you have on it then? Also some kind of windowsill?

There will still be screed and flooring on top… so about 20cm? With us, there is only a 5cm high strip between the floor-to-ceiling windows and the floor.

I think the screed is already there.

Ok, floor-to-ceiling windows were specified. But since there is no exit to any balcony there, the question is, what really bothers you about it?
