Floor tiles 180€/sqm realistic?

For our general contractor, it is about €2600 for our 12.4 sqm kitchen. I think 30cmx30cm. Larger tiles will then cost a bit extra. We will probably choose those.

Why does the kitchen have to be tiled by the general contractor? Doesn’t the kitchen fitter know a tiler [per du] who tears through it for a week after handover before the kitchen arrives? Over 200 EUR/m² (gross?) seems to me beyond good and evil...

Hadn't really thought about it yet. Sampling is still to come. Until this thread, I initially assumed that this was an acceptable price. But when I wrote the post here, I also considered outsourcing it.

Unfortunately, I can only roughly convert my price to the sqm since the work was charged hourly and materials were billed separately. I got everything from the tiler. Approximately 144 sqm of floor (1.20x1.20) and about 12 sqm of wall (2.60x1.20) were tiled. Due to the large-format tiles and the corresponding waste, around 210 sqm of tile material were needed. Two bathrooms were completely sealed, silicone work and 8 meters of Jollykante were also included. Total costs amounted to €29,000. So about €185/sqm
