Floor tiles 180€/sqm realistic?

Just don’t use staggered joints for the format. We were talked into it and it just looks terrible. The stacked full boards dominate completely and all the cut pieces at the edges look slapped on.

I believe that also depends on the basic pattern, or the combination of the tiles and grout color. In my father-in-law's guest apartment, it is like that and I think it looks good. However, he has rather inconspicuous cream white with light gray grout that hardly stands out.

A soft grout contrast can already soften the laying pattern a lot. Personally, I would still usually take the trouble to plan the laying pattern in advance.

At the beginning of 2023, I paid 126 EUR/m² gross, including 35 EUR/m² for tiles, skirting, stainless steel finishing strips, and the surcharge for 60x60cm large format. Well, Saxony-Anhalt and also through the tiler from the general contractor, so by no means a friendly price... but 42% more?

I had offers of about 80€/m² in 2022 for laying 120x60 cm tiles. Without material but including grouting, baseboards, and silicone. Smaller formats would have been around 55-60€/m², I think. Also rural but prosperous Bavaria. At the beginning of 2025 I will need a tiler again. Let's see what the market does.
