Floor plan single-family house, 5 children, architect's design

Difficult to plan a house that fits a family with maybe a small child and part-time teenagers. The cabin is partly empty - tendency increasing. With you, I somehow think of American floor plans. Mud-room and large houses with a living room and a family room. As wiltshire already wrote, the living space is sparsely furnished for all 7 heads, and honestly, when does the first friend come along? For 2 or with a baby, it is almost too big to be cozy.
