It looks like someone has already started with the earthworks there. Are the trapped parking spaces in the garage meant seriously? The garden may also be terraced. That is up to 6m of fill in the south? A house with several levels would be suitable here. Nicely adapted to the slope.

The garage may possibly (currently being checked) be changed to a double garage. For this, a double garage would be built on the southern property boundary, since filling would have to be done there anyway. So far, I have not seen anything with several levels that really appealed to me.

Even if money does not play a (significant) role for you, I would have planned the house completely differently if you are mostly just the two of you. Far too much dead and unused space to accommodate "guests" for a short time - even if they are your own children. But that is off topic. Thanks for your opinion. For me, it is out of the question in the planning that every child gets a room, even if they only use it 2-3 days a week. What would you have changed?

Children's room massively reduced. In addition, two small children's bathrooms. In return, more generous in the living area/ground floor for living). Possibly as a recessed floor (flat roof building with terrace in front of the children's room - as a replacement area). Or parts of the basement moved to the upper floor - there is plenty of space then. But it would be a completely differently planned house. Own experience after 17.5 years of being a father: children just chill on the bed, hardly play anymore like 30 years ago, space is unnecessary, streaming/Wi-Fi is essential etc.

But as I said... part-time father... they only get snippets of everyday life and usually have no clue.

Much has already been written. I really hope the estimate is accurate. It's not just the house, but also enormous earthworks. The land is being worked on so intensely that it really costs a lot of money. Several levels make the garden interesting. You can divide it into rooms and areas. The large lawn is boring. Especially with 7 people, a level for retreat and quiet is quite nice.

Depending on the hobby, space is needed in the children's room. I would—especially with 5 children's rooms—consider whether they really need to be that big, or if there could be a youth playroom instead. Depending on the kids' interests. Yoga swing, Carrera track, Gravitrax, etc., require space and are used by several.
