Hello,
I don’t think the planner is the problem. Instead, it is probably trendy wishes that are in contrast to the budget or the size of the house.
All these special features come at the expense of the children and usability. I recommend checking various prefab house floor plans. They are usually very efficient in terms of space utilization.

[*]For the freestanding bathtub, the bathroom is too small
[*]For the backup kitchen, the house is too small
[*]For a cooking island, the house is too small
[*]For a generous living-dining area (by this I mean 80 m2 and more for kitchen, dining, and living), the house is too small
