Hello Ibdk14, we share that concern a bit, that's why we are considering designing the niche for the refrigerator (see new attachment in red) and equipping the back side of the kitchen with countertops. There is also storage space under the island and in the pantry.

Good point, haydee, it could get tight with a wheelchair, especially since this is the exit to our terrace. According to the drawing, it is about 110 cm. However, I would also prefer the terrace door to extend from the dining table, so there is a direct passage.

Without the office it would be considerably easier. The basement is dry and as you already mentioned with daylight. We are not yet sure whether we want to include the basement in the thermal envelope or insulate it.

We currently have this table in the living room; my wife wouldn’t be happy with that (which probably also has to do with my table arrangement).

A small fitness area is planned there and the piano would go there. To be honest, the whole family is looking forward to the corner. It could also serve well as a "neutral corner," for example for bedtime stories.

Unfortunately, I don’t yet have the elevations for the current floor plan. I inserted another one so that you get a feeling for the property.

The following ideas we have still (see new drawing changes marked in red)

[*]The bathroom could be slightly enlarged by boxing in the bathroom cabinets, the same in the kitchen with the refrigerator.
[*]Does it make sense to build a privacy screen in the hallway? You can see straight through the living room and dining room.

Thank you very much for the first comments.

What is the ceiling height there? I believe it's hardly possible to get living space cheaper and with a window - those are living spaces.

Oh, that also has to be included. Who plays?

Since an elevator shaft is not airtight and a good connection from the basement to the rest exists, I cannot imagine that it is possible to separate the basement from the rest of the house in such a way that it lies outside the thermal envelope.
