I am also in favor of the "alternative door" to the kitchen instead of the seating area, both for aesthetic reasons and because I have the same thoughts about the use of this second entrance as I do about the window door in the children's room.

I now have 2 more variants for the living room/kitchen ... what do you think?
The room depth in the area of the "small" kitchen (variant 1) is 3.40m.

I prefer 2 better. Kitchen unit is more practical than with a corner. Also, the space for the sofa is more spacious.

Then I would put the door back in its original position. I just find it more practical to take the groceries directly into the kitchen.
