Attached is a sketch of the object. I hope this makes it clearer (?). Black is the semi-detached house from 1939, red the extensions from 1981 (balcony, "living room" and double garage).

I have already understood the building parts. In 1939, you would have needed a time machine for a 30cm exterior wall thickness. This year is on many construction plans that were only realized later due to the war.

There are several reasons: - The whole thing is hard to imagine without a long construction site and dirt in the house (my wife is just ultra afraid of asbestos "and all that toxic stuff" and doesn’t want anything "to be stirred up". I know that the problem is not too big. But you know, women...

Unlike the eternal mystery of women, asbestos can already be revealed under a simple school microscope. Also, the recording of the materials used is part of a proper basic assessment by an architect. Economically, I find it irresponsible to start an extension immediately without a well-considered examination of alternatives.

A developer has already been there.

Since I uploaded more pictures elsewhere, I would like to catch up here as well. Afterwards, I would like to explain the chronology of our thoughts on how we came to the house. Hopefully, this will make many things clearer.

About the property and house:
