I believe it’s just the window - but the room isn’t much wider anyway. It would definitely be a bit too tight for me - if you have an open drying rack inside, you can no longer move around in it as it is now.

If you leave it as it is, of course, you would have to change the windows. When swapping the rooms, the long distances were also my concern.... but you could move the door a little to the right, then it should work, right?
But keep in mind that you will then run into a cabinet. In principle, I like it this way better, especially if the bed is supposed to stay against the wall.

yes, you're probably right....you always imagine it so nicely, but in the end only practicality counts.... Do you know if the straight staircase can be moved up a bit so that the children's room door from child 1 can be lowered. Then they would all have their entrances next to each other....
