House Design
Who designed it: ourselves
What do you especially like? Why? = the separation of living room from kitchen and dining room
Preferred heating technology: air heat pump

If you have to give up, which details/expansions
-you could give up: maybe the pantry
-you cannot give up:

Why did the design turn out as it is now? For example
a lot self-drawn and visits to prefabricated houses

Hello! We already have another plan here in this forum, but we are considering changing from a straight staircase to a spiral staircase.

What do you think of my design?
Is the pantry behind the kitchen feasible?
How do you find the room sizes?

I would have found it sensible to illustrate and describe in a synopsis of before and after designs where the floor plan changes due to the different staircase variant, how extensive it is, and why.

Did you actually search in vain for an old building and now want to build a new building in a "renovated look" as a substitute?

Is that a plan of an old building for you?

Not in the charming sense. But in the sense of "it looks more like it's been patched up than designed," unfortunately yes.

Please dimension, label, and furnish neatly (without laminate). And then "Schau mehr mal".

The OP did all that?? One dimensioned floor plan and one furnished. I don’t understand. Personally, I think the floor plan is good! What I would change: - Leave the stairs to the basement open, that brings more spaciousness to the hallway and the descent isn’t such a dark hole. - Cancel the pantry because you have a basement where you can store a lot. Climbing stairs prolongs life! ;) - Instead of 400 cm, better 425 cm wide for the kitchen, then you get 7 tall cabinets of 60 cm side by side. That gives endless storage space. - The dining table will then also have enough space if the kitchen moves all the way back/up against the wall. - The stairs then shift 25 cm to the left, the bathroom gets a bit smaller (110 cm for shower and toilet is enough). Sleeping area also becomes 25 cm narrower, but you have lots of space there anyway. The children’s rooms gain those 25 cm. The cloakroom is supposed to be accessed through the closet? Do you have exterior views? A few windows are still missing, e.g. in the bathroom and in the child’s room.
