I meant it in relation to the size of the house, not the costs. That you can easily spend 100 euros there for a Wiener Schnitzel with fries I had already realized years ago. ;)

So the house footprint (without an additional projecting garage) is about 100 sqm (9x11m). Is that impressive? I don’t know. My parents’ house had the same dimensions. But I never found it huge or small, just right: that’s why we provisionally decided on these dimensions.

We don’t really like that corner either. On the other hand, we already have a storage room next to the kitchen.....

That is definitely something to consider, yes. However, it should not be forbidden for the kids to use the "parents’ bathroom" just because it’s called that.... :-)

True, sorry. More precisely it is 8.5° or 15% slope.

That would of course mess up our whole concept ;-) I don’t think it’s for us at the moment, but I will definitely do some more research about it.....

It really makes no sense to argue about DE-CH prices/wages. Salaries in Switzerland as well as living costs are simply much higher than in Germany, so it doesn’t really make sense for me to discuss Swiss prices in a German forum..... :-) Let’s just stick to the floor plan: Thanks :-D

I know that feeling, it happened to me about 10-15 times ;)
From classic 3 floors, to a house with a granny flat, to 4 stories with a roof terrace, to a bungalow with an extension for a children's room, we've been through everything. Everything has to find its place first and above all you have to perceive what is really important to you yourself.
You have now reached a point where in my opinion it would be necessary to get professional help on board. I would therefore recommend that you find an architect.

A few more comments on your floor plan:

I don’t like the play corner either. The slant somehow doesn’t fit at all.
Here are 2 suggestions for how I would do it better:
Here the play corner is still present. The wardrobe fits into the niche.

Or like this, then you would have enough space for a large wardrobe including a small bench, so you can sit down when putting shoes on/off.

In any case, I would try to create a sightline from the small sliding window at the bottom of the plan, to the living room entrance and the front door.

Is the couch in the size of your own?

Upper floor: The master bedroom is very tight. With a raw construction dimension of 3.07 m, you end up with a bit more than 3 meters left. Our double bed is 1.95 m wide. So that leaves about 53 cm on each side. It's possible, but not comfortable.
I would therefore place the bed with the headboard against the east wall.
You have just a bit more than 2 meters of closet length for both of you. Are you sure that is enough? For me/us that would be far too little and would only be enough for one person.

The hallway on the upper floor might be extremely dark without the double casement window.

No, I almost understood it correctly since you also spoke from east to west.
You have to build up the terrain in the west if you plan a terrace/an exit there.
In this respect, I see a hillside property here with a less than ideal orientation.
Standard one- or two-story houses don’t fit such plots, they usually look contrived and not well done. You should also consider whether you want to so drastically reshape a plot in terms of terrain modeling.

In your case, I would probably think about terrace construction/split-level.

I always advise without exception to use an architect who is experienced with hillside construction.

But maybe I see problems where there are none, if others do it the same way!? ;)

9x11 by itself not at first, but with 2 full floors plus a basement I do find it so. But it could also just be my subjective perception, as all houses in the family are a size smaller.

I think this idea is very good. Many thanks!

No, it is just a 3D model from the internet. Size 2x3m

Moving the bed is also a good idea. Wardrobe: At the moment we only have a 2m long wardrobe, which is actually enough for both of us. But you’re right, a little bigger never hurts ;-)

Yes, you would definitely have to plan a roof window on the north side of the roof (we want to keep the south side free for a possible photovoltaic system later if possible.)

OK, then we understood each other correctly :-D Somehow, I don’t see the whole hillside problem yet, but maybe I’m underestimating it. What I should mention is: I measured the height difference of 4.5m "only" from an online geo portal. Although we Swiss have the most accurate maps in the world (at least that’s what we say here :), I wouldn’t trust 100% that this is correct. In reality (see photo from Google Street View) the whole thing looks somewhat flatter.......

Hello,

I unfortunately had to delete the jpg; Aunt Gurgel doesn’t like it and reacts pretty bitchy if you don’t listen to her.
