Frozen and Co: I confess, I had to chuckle and can’t get the grin off my face. When our son was little, his room was overpopulated. The inhabitants were Pokemon. Then came the card decks and Yu-Gi-Oh. With our daughter, we were punished twice over: Teletubbies and Bear in the Big Blue House, almost simultaneously. The loving grandpa (my father!) went out and came back with four big creatures. All singing and contorting while singing the Lala or the Teletubbies song. The bedding from that time fell into our hands again during the move. Was it allowed to be thrown away? Nope! Each of our children ([17 + 20]) wanted to keep their bedding. Various stuffed animals included, Little Pop still sleeps with them in bed today. It’s called cult now! My sister knows something similar. For her girl, it’s Monster High.

I was just about to suggest that. For us, it's probably two moving boxes in total. However, including Christmas tree baubles, tinsel, etc. 10 + 1 boxes: Did Stern TV happen to be with you (yesterday’s broadcast)? They showed up with their Christmas surprise at a family’s house that I would have run screaming out of. In every room, there was so much Christmas decoration junk that you could almost get eye cancer.

The Santa Claus looks as if he wasn't made from earth but rather from "cow dung". Well - the main thing is a "snow"man.

Yeah, why didn’t you just get rid of everything before moving???

I packed one box, the rest went into the trash. And, okay, one box with fairy lights, but slimmed down — back before LED times, I used to repair strings by rescuing working bulbs from others and putting them into the broken ones: those all went into the trash during the move...

Last year I stuffed a sideboard full with all kinds of decoration stuff, this year it looks like this, since the sideboard has now ended up in the office:

The rest is in the Saint Nicholas bags at the door and on the cupboard
The living room is a knick-knack-free zone! I don’t want that, candles are enough!
Outside it looks like this:

The tree in the front left was still supposed to get a light net, but that f***ing expensive thing I bought today is actually defective

But it's still the window of the rental apartment. Hope that changes next year.
