First Christmas in your own home - How did you decorate?

I received slippers from our daughter today: Walt Disney's Frozen! Funny but uncomfortable. With protruding carrots. I watched the movie once and thought it was quite cute. This must be the punishment now.

...it's a pity that this topic is being talked to death. I thought there would be photos here and it would be more about decoration ideas - and less about slippers.

I actually expected more inspiring pictures, but then I'll lead by good example even though I don't have much decoration, but that will surely change over time! Today I bought these cute figures from Metro on sale. They are still standing in the apartment, but next year around this time they will be expanded by a few figures standing in front of our new house.

I put that under kitsch, which we also like! Here are a few pictures of it, but we also have "completely normal decorations".

...so, only 2 complaints left. Finally no new crap in sight!!!

After a lot of frustration and a 50m² temporary apartment for almost a year, the lady of the house is now going all out (or through?) with the decorations.

That’s why a few more photos before the celebration. Somehow the funniest thing is the half Christmas tree. We can finally put up a whole one outside now.
